Thanksgiving Food Drive in support of North Bay Food Bank

Four area high schools are teaming up for the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, beginning Tuesday.

Four area high schools are teaming up for the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, with all food collected benefitting the North Bay Food Bank. 

Members of the community are invited to place their non-perishable food items in a bag or box in a visible location outside their door or students will knock on the door.

Students from St. Joseph-Scollard Hall and Chippewa Secondary School will be canvassing the following areas on Tuesday, October 4 from 5 p.m. until about 8 p.m.: Birchaven, Graniteville, St. John’s Village, Ski Club Road/Frost St area, Airport Hill, the downtown core, and the Memorial Drive/Queen St area.

Students from Ecole Secondaire Algonquin and West Ferris Secondary School will be collecting on Wednesday, October 5 from 5 p.m. until about 8 p.m. in the following areas: West Ferris, Pinewood, Thibeault Terrace, and the neighbourhoods between Algonquin Ave and O’Brien St.

If your home is missed, organizers encourage you to bring your donation directly to the North Bay Food Bank, located at 1016 Fisher St.
