A man faces sexual assault charges after police were called to the waterfront yesterday afternoon.
Police say that a man inappropriately touched two children, previously unknown to him, while they were at Lake Nipissing’s waterfront on August 31st.
North Bay Police have arrested and charged:
Peter Leo Joseph Carriere, age 62, of North Bay with:
- Two counts of sexual assault on a person under 16; and
- Two counts of sexual interference with a person under 16.
Following his arrest near the site of the incident, Carriere was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.
