Family members are reporting that injured motorcyclist Brad Martin is facing a setback during his recovery in Sudbury hospital.

Martin was seriously injured when he was involved in a collision with a van while on his motorbike last Wednesday.   The 33-year-old driver of the van has been charged.

Early this week Martin, who owns and operates Allmakes Service Plus on Main Street, came out of his induced coma and connected with his older brother Russell Martin.

A sign outside the Allmakes Service Plus business thanks the community for the support and states they are open for business.

Today, the family reported on the Allmakes Facebook page that Brad has been placed back on life support fully.

“He has developed an infection in his foot,” stated the Martin family.

“The doctors have also noticed water on the brain where the flap was incised. We are now in a holding pattern until the doctors can treat the infection. We ask for your continued prayers and thoughts.”

The GoFundme page set up to help in Brad Martin’s recovery just eclipsed the $30,000 mark.

A petition has also been started in hopes of closing the Lakeshore Drive access to Tim Horton's where accident occurred last Wednesday.
