Service Ontario in north end makes move to new location

Following some renovations, the larger space and more accessible office will appeal to clients. All of the same services are provided.

The Service Ontario franchise outlet that had been located on Airport Road for decades is still open for business and has simply moved to a new nearby location, at 955 Stockdale Rd., Unit 5, within sight of Airport Road.

So says Mike Angst, the location's long-time service provider. He says it took some time to find the right location but following some renovations, the larger space and more accessible office will appeal to clients. All of the same services are provided. The move was official in late February.

"We have a territory that we have to stay within that the government approves," Angst explains. The new office was approved "because of its close proximity to the former location."

The change of location was necessary as Bradwick Property, the owners of Regency Square at 392 Airport Rd., decided to move the commercial operations out of the ground floor spaces to make way for more residential units as part of a larger redevelopment.

Angst has been involved with the operation in one form or another since 1991 and knows some clients will head for the Airport Road location as if on auto-pilot. Thankfully, the new spot is just up the road where his welcoming staff will be waiting.
