By the time this year’s radio-a-thon wrapped up at 10 this morning, “Rotary4Kids” had raised over $96,000.

Country 90.5 FM morning host Kevin Oschefski was on the air for 29 hours helping the Rotary Club of North Bay raise money in support of area children and youth with special needs.

“The continued success of this fundraiser, in its 21st year, would not be possible without the incredibly generous support of the many individual donors, sponsors, local organizations and businesses, many of who have been with us from day one,” Rotary4Kids Chair Jeff Rogerson said.

Grace Doiron, Club President, added “Since its inception, the radio-a-thon has raised 1.4 million dollars that have gone towards numerous Rotary Children’s Committee projects such as the purchase of assistive devices, home renovations, vehicle conversions, enrollment into various programs, assistance to cover uninsured medical costs and out of town travel and funding for special needs teams, just to name a few.”

Donations can still be made online at www.rotary4kids.ca throughout the year.
