On the 29th of Sept. shortly after 1 AM a man and a woman were walking on Algonquin Av. between Bloem and Scollard Sts. when they were approached by an unknown male. This male became agitated and grabbed a cart that the couple had, and then threw it on the ground. He then demanded cigarettes and cash from them.

When he was told that they didn’t have any, the man became angrier and grabbed the male victim by the throat, pushed him to the ground and then punched him.

The attacker then stole the victim’s black and white Adidas windbreaker style coat.

He then threatened the couple not to call the police and that he had just gotten out of jail.

He is described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old, 5’6 to 5’7, medium build, short brown hair, some scruffy facial hair and wore a dark coloured long sleeve shirt, jeans and the stolen Adidas coat in question. He was also seen to have a tattoo on one of his forearms.
