Polyjesters were crowd-pleasing

From the first selection, 'You are my sunshine' to their encore number, 'What a wonderful world', the Polyjesters kept the crowd at the Capitol Centre clapping, singing, laughing and toe-tapping on Sunday night.

From the first selection, 'You are my sunshine' to their encore number, 'What a wonderful world', the Polyjesters kept the crowd at the Capitol Centre clapping, singing, laughing and toe-tapping on Sunday night.

Brothers, Jason and Sheldon Valleau on upright bass and ukulele, respectively, along with Drew Jureka on fiddle and Aaron Young on guitar make up the Albertan quartet.

The repertoire included songs by Billie Holiday, The Beatles, and many original tunes. Jason's impersonation of his father, impersonating Louis 'Satchmo' Armstrong was impressive and a real crowd pleaser. Their eclectic selection of sounds and music has evolved into their unique blend called 'Chunk'.

More than once during their time on stage, the Polyjesters commented on how lucky we are in North Bay to have such a wonderful theatre. The audience heartily agreed.

The Capitol Centre will be bringing Maurice Sendak's, 'Little Bear & the Enchanted Woods' on March 17th, for the young and the young at heart.
