The North Bay Police say they did not find a person with a firearm at the Midway at Lee Park on Wednesday night.
"Multiple Officers did attend the Midway last night shortly after 9:25 p.m. regarding an incident alleging the involvement of a firearm," stated Special Constable John Schultz, North Bay Police Community Safety Coordinator.
"The investigation revealed the report was unfounded. At no point was there a threat to the safety of anyone at the Midway. We had multiple officers attend as we do take these calls very seriously and we will continue to."
The unfounded incident caused a flurry of concern on local social media threads Wednesday night.
