North Bay police say a woman they were looking to question in that Trout Lake Road armed robbery has been found and questioned, and are resuming their search for the woman in the security footage.

Police said yesterday they were looking to interview a former resident of North Bay.  It turns out she is not the one in the photo, say police, and has been cleared.

Police are resuming their search for the woman in security footage who remains the suspect

"Thanks to members of the public. We have located and interviewed Ms. Karran and are continuing to search for the suspect in the pictures released," said spokesman John Schultz.

The armed robbery happened Wednesday evening at an apartment building on Trout Lake Rd.

A female resident of the apartment building on the 2400 block of Trout Lake Road answered a knock on her door, thinking it was a personal support worker.

She let the person into her apartment, but once inside the robber pointed a black handgun at the victim and demanded she turn over her purse and medications. The victim turned over the items and the thief fled the apartment building on foot heading toward Connaught Avenue.

The victim was not physically harmed.
