Woman with handgun robs victim of medication

Stolen items include several bank cards and prescription medication

City police are searching for a female robber today, after she used a handgun to steal bank cards and medication.

The robbery took place last night around 8:30 at an apartment on the 2400 block of Trout Lake Road.

A woman answered a knock on her door, thinking it was a personal support worker.

She let the person into her apartment, but once inside the robber pointed a black handgun at the victim and demanded she turn over her purse and medications. The victim turned over the items and the thief fled the apartment building on foot heading toward Connaught Avenue. 

The victim was not physically harmed.

The robber is described as;

  • a woman slightly over 5 feet tall with a slim build
  • blond hair that was in a bun at the time

She was wearing;

  • black eyeglasses
  • a medical mask
  • a teal-colored jacket
  • black gloves
  • she was carrying a pink backpack

Stolen items include several bank cards and prescription medication. 

The robber had a black handgun and should not be approached warn police.
