For over ten and a half years Kathy Jeanneault (mother of three children) has been working daily to rehabilitate dogs, cats and occasional wildlife.

This has been a career for Kathy. She owns and operates her facility alone with help of friends and volunteers. All financial aspects of the shelter has been paid by endless fundraising.

Jeanneault an Animal Control Officer, a boarding kennel owner had a dream to help animals and it came true.

After all these years her health will no longer be able to accommodate cats.

She has had allergies to dogs and cats for over six years due to over exposure of animals. And, each day she takes her medications for allergies. Her cat room is aproximatly 13 x 14 and has fifteen cages. She was recently dumped on with 36 cats from one home, and this has put her volunteers, finances and her health over the top.

Jeanneault is very sad with her decision and has contemplated this decision for well over a year.

"I could only continue to care for cats if I had a full time employee and a larger building" says Jeanneault.

"This decision has been made solely by Kathy and not prompted with any outside influences."

She will continue to focus her rescue center on the cats until suitable homes can be found, but will no longer be taking in cats.

"dogs will be the main focus as we are set up with lots of property and suitable kennels for dogs" says Jeanneault

A trainer will be attending the rescue twice a week to help rehabilitate the dogs, and they will continue to improve exercise yards, doggie parks and play area's for canines at the rescue facility.

Working with many SPCA'S, helping to take in their overflow. This woman deserves a pat on the back.

Volunteers are always appreciated on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sundays.
