Nine (9) impaired drivers, ten (10) 3-day suspensions – warn range, 14 marine related Liquor Licence Act charges and over 20 drug offence charges all as a result of traffic stops by our officers in the North Bay OPP Detachment cluster since June 1st, 2009.

Starting on June 3rd, 2009 at 11 p.m. on Highway 11 in the city of North Bay, Gilles GODARD, 47 years old of Carp was charged with Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol as per s. 253(1) (a) and with Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code. GODARD is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on July 14th, 2009.

On June 4th, 2009 just before 6 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 in Commanda Township. The vehicle had left the scene and was later located at Oasis Trailer Park. Allan Steven WILSON, 50 years old of Oasis Trailer Park in Commanda Township was charged with Dangerous Operation - Motor Vehicle as per s. 249(1)(a) of the Criminal Code; Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Drug as per s. 253(1)(a) of the cc and with Fail to Remain at Scene of Accident as per s. 252 of the cc. WILSON was held for bail hearing on June 5th, 2009 and is scheduled to reappear on July 21st, 2009.

On June 5th, 2009 at approximately 3 a.m., Mattawa OPP officers charged a motorist on Main Street in Mattawa with Fail to provide Breath Sample / Approved Screening Device / Peace Officer demand / Motor Vehicle as per s.254(5) of the CC. David GALLSON, 47 years old of East Ferris Township is scheduled to appear for court in Mattawa on July 8th, 2009.
Charges against Mr. Gallson were withdrawn on May 15, 2010

On June 8th, 2009 at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Highway 11 in Powassan, a routine traffic stop resulted in charges for Maurice R. FOURNIER, 49 years old of Nipissing Township. FOURNIER is scheduled for court in North Bay on July 7th, 2009 for Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code.

On June 18th, 2009 at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Highway 11 in the city of North Bay as a result of traffic stop Jake C. FRASER, 21 years old of Renfrew was charged with Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol as per s. 253(1) (a) and with Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code. FRASER is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on July 21st, 2009.

Within a half hour, OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 17 in the city of North Bay. The vehicle was located and as a result the driver, Donald M. ROBILLARD, 31 years old of Azilda was charged with Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol as per s. 253(1)(a) and with Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code. ROBILLARD is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on July 21st, 2009.

On June 29th, 2009 at approximately 10 p.m. an officer with Highway Safety Division of the OPP was conducting RIDE checks at the Lakeshore exit and Highway 11 when Colin W. SISSON, 35 years old of Coldwater was charged with Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol as per s. 253(1) (a) and with Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code. SISSON is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on July 28th, 2009.

On July 5th, 2009, at 3:35 a.m. officers were conducting RIDE checks on Corbeil Road and Derland Road in East Ferris Township. As a result, MATHEW GRAINGE, 19 years old of Calvin Township, was charged with Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code. GRAINGE is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on August 4th, 2009.

A speeding offence on Highway 17, Commanda Township, at approximately 9:20 a.m. resulted in more than a traffic violation for Michael KLEIMAKER, 55 years old, of Jocko Point, North Bay. As a result, he is charged with Exceed 80 milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code. KLEIMAKER is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on August 25th, 2009.
