Open house at NipU Saturday

Nipissing University is welcoming prospective students to campus this Saturday, November 3, for the annual Fall Upclose Open House.

There are about 100 students registered and the university expects about 300 total visitors, including the student’s family members, to campus.

The students, along with their families, will tour the university, participate in information session and get answers to their questions on topics ranging from academic programs and admissions to residence and athletics. Fall Upclose takes place from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

“Fall Upclose is very important for Nipissing University. It’s one of the key events in terms of growing our enrolment,” said Heather Brown, assistant registrar, liaison at Nipissing. “The students who are attending already know some of what Nipissing has to offer, they know about our small class sizes and the high level of interaction between students and faculty members. This weekend, we’ll be showing them our beautiful campus and facilities, answering their questions and trying to make them feel at home in the hopes that they will decide to make Nipissing their home for their post-secondary education.”
