The Ontario Northland Transportation Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of Corina Moore as Chief Operating Officer and Amedeo Bernardi as Vice President and General Manager of Ontera, effective immediately.

Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer (COO), Moore will be responsible for ensuring that business operations are optimized across all divisions of Ontario Northland and will be taking on the role of Vice President of the Refurbishment Division as part of her COO responsibilities.

"Corina has demonstrated exceptional adaptability and has emerged as a champion of change within the organization," said Paul Goulet, Acting President and CEO of Ontario Northland. "She is taking on an extremely important role as she will be spearheading Ontario Northland's efforts to realize operational improvements and optimize enterprise effectiveness as we work to ensure the long term sustainability and success of the Company."

Moore joined the organization in 2005 as Director of Sales and Business Development with Ontera. In 2007, she took on the role of Strategic Planning and Risk Management Officer with Ontario Northland and in 2008, became Director of Human Resources. Having worked with Wayport Inc., PrinterOn Corporation, SST and IBM, she has extensive leadership experience and a strong business background. She holds a degree in Systems Design Engineering and Business Administration and Management.

"I am passionate about northern Ontario and very proud of the important social and economic impact that Ontario Northland has in the region," said Moore. "I'm eager to take on this new challenge and look forward to expanding on our successes."

Originally from Commanda (60 km southwest of North Bay), Corina lived in Southern Ontario for several years where she gained invaluable experience working throughout Canada, the U.S and Europe before returning to Northern Ontario to work at Ontera. She and her husband Jay, along with their two children Madison and Tyler, now make their home in the North Bay area. Corina enjoys supporting her community through involvement in volunteer fundraising initiatives and community associations.

Vice President and General Manager of Ontera As Vice President and General Manager of Ontera, Ontario Northland's telecommunications division, Bernardi will be responsible for overseeing operations at Ontera as it contributes to the prosperity of northern Ontario by providing reliable, competitive and innovative telecommunications solutions to its customers.

"I am extremely confident in Amedeo's ability to lead our telecommunications division as he has demonstrated exceptional management and leadership qualities," commented Goulet. "Amedeo has earned a high degree of respect and credibility with Ontera's clients, its industry partners and within the telecommunications community."

Bernardi first joined Ontario Northland as Director of Partner Solutions with Ontera in 2004. In 2007, he took on the role of Director of Ontera's Project Management Office. Prior to joining the Company, he accumulated extensive national experience in the telecommunications field with firms including Clearnet PCS, WIC Connexus, Gateway Telephone Limited and Bell Mobility. Bernardi is highly involved in the telecommunications industry and represents the Company as a Director on the boards of the Canadian Independent Telephone Association, the Ontario Telephone Association and the Canadian Alliance of Publicly Owned Telecommunications Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree and has earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.

Originally from Timmins, Ontario, Bernardi returned to northern Ontario after working for several years in the Toronto area. He currently lives in North Bay with his wife Lynne and their two children, Sarah and Alex. He believes in giving back to the community and volunteers with a number of youth sports and local theatre groups. He is currently Chair of the Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre.
