North Bay's Ryan Hunter has been added to the Kansas City Chiefs playoff roster, the club announced today.

The offensive lineman moved up from the practice squad replacing injured rookie safety Juan Thornhill who was put on injured reserve.

The 24-year-old got into three games early in the season and played about 14 snaps in the team's early-season loss to the Indianapolis Colts.  It was shortly after that game that Hunter was sent back to the Chiefs practice roster.

"Trust the process," Hunter stated via Twitter while sharing the roster move.

"I am just trying to fit in wherever they need me and do whatever I can to show the front office that I deserve a spot on the team,” Hunter told BayToday at the start of training camp in late August

Hunter signed with the Chiefs in February of 2019 after spending the entire season on the practice roster with the Chiefs.

The Algonquin alum originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Chiefs in 2018.

Hunter will be on the sidelines and potentially on the field on Sunday afternoon for the AFC Divisional Round playoff contest as the Chiefs host the Houston Texans.
