With the support of Ontario’s Near North Travel Association, the Strategic Tourism Development and Marketing Partnership for Northern Ontario (a partnership of OTMPC, FedNor, and NOHFC) is developing a five-year Tourism Marketing Strategy for Northern Ontario for the benefit of all Northerners!

The Marketing Strategy will build on the previous OTMPC Northern Marketing Strategy and represent a fresh look at Northern Ontario’s tourism products and marketing efforts from the consumer’s perspective and at how the tourism industry is organized. The key objective is to develop a practical marketing strategy for Northern Ontario that clearly defines roles, and guides and coordinates marketing investments to increase tourism.

North Bay will host one of eight consultations to be held throughout Northern Ontario, beginning October 31, 2007. The consultations will present a draft of the five-year marketing strategy that was developed based on input from industry consultations held earlier this year. The North Bay session will take place at the Holiday Inn Express on November 15th and will run from 9:30am – 12:00pm and includes complimentary refreshments.
