North Bay Police Chief Shawn Devine has sent a letter to Mayor Al McDonald, apparently at the mayor's request, voicing concern over the idea of Ontario Provincial Police costing.  Devine sent the letter in reaction to council possibly looking into the costs of having the OPP run the police services within the city.

Devine finishes by saying, "Renting a police service means deployment is through Orillia (OPP HQ) with no control of cost."
