Councillor Dave Mendicino filed his papers this morning to take another run at a council seat. He finished fourth in the 2010 elections.

“I’m proud to have served this great city, and look forward to rolling up my sleeves and going to work for you again,” he says in a news release.

“A sustainable vibrant community requires a delicate balance between economic stability, environmental awareness and positive social impact. My focus will continue to be on our youth, families and seniors.”

Mendicino says he has had the honour of leading the redevelopment of Cassellholme, and looks forward to making an “exciting” announcement on this project in the near future.

“Furthermore, one of my primary goals is to continue to invest in our city’s infrastructure both above and below ground. Lastly, I stand by my unwavering support for the development of our Airport Industrial Park. Companies from all over the globe are showing interest in this opportunity. The Airport Industrial Park is our direct link to the next generation of job creation.”
