Nine new COVID cases over the last three days

The North Bay Parry Sound Health Unit reports nine new cases in the past three days, bringing the total to 486 since the pandemic began. The Unit does not report over the weekend.

The numbers are rising. There are now 28 active cases, all in the Nipissing District. Two are in hospital.

Adults with at least one dose have reached 71 per cent while those having both doses sit at 14 per cent.

Meanwhile, the Health Unit has received an extension from the city to continue mass vaccinations at Memorial Gardens until late August.

And the Health Unit has declared a COVID-19 respiratory outbreak at the North Bay Jail in Corridor 3 of the facility located on Trout Lake Road in North Bay.

The Timiskaming Health Unit reports two active cases.

The Sudbury Health Unit reports two new cases and 18 active cases.

The Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit reports 28 new cases and 215 active cases.
