Near North Board ready for fourth accommodation review

The Near North District School Board is embarking on its fourth accommodation review process (ARC) for schools to be reviewed for consolidation. The ARC process will involve the Burk’s Falls area schools and includes Almaguin Highlands Secondary School, Land of Lakes Public School, M.A. Wittick Public School and Magnetawan Central School.

The process will get underway this fall. There will be four (4) meetings to allow for public engagement of the community. The second and third public meetings are designated for parent and community input.

A recent board motion identified a preferred option. During the accommodation review process, public input is being sought to review the preferred option and gather other ideas for consideration.
