Motorcyclist arrested after police chase

The chase was called off but the rider was found and arrested a short time later by Thomson Park

City police say they arrested a motorcyclist Saturday after a brief chase that was called off for safety concerns.

The incident started around 5 p.m. in the John St. area when police spotted the Honda CBR.

Police tried to stop him but the biker fled at a high rate of speed according to the officer. No reason was given for the attempted stop.

The chase was called off but the rider was found and arrested a short time later by Thomson Park.

Luke Cutts, 30, of North Bay was charged with

  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle 
  • Flight from Police 
  • Drive while under suspension 
  • Disobey stop sign
