Time is running out and the folks at Fire Station #1 on Princess Street and feeling the pinch and today they issued another call for ‘HELP’ to local businesses and the community.

Event Chairman Chris Cuthbertson says thanks to a generous donation from Becker’s Berry Patch in Nipissing they now have about 100 pumpkins, however, candy supplies are still very low and that organisers are growing more desperate by the minute.

“We now have lots of pumpkins, 5 totes (2 lg and 3 med) of candy, 19 boxes of chips so far and 5,000 children to make happy,” he notes.

“Usually we have 9 large totes and 3 medium totes filled with assorted goodies and over 100 boxes of chips, cheezies, Doritos, etcetera. We really need lots and lots of wrapped candy, chips, and cheezies.”

“Please North Bay, we really need your help.”

Cuthbertson also says they are happy to accept anything as a donation so samples and coupons are welcome."

"Every year I like to point out that this truly is a community event because everyone makes donations of candy time and materials. The station just organises the event it truly is the community that puts on this event."

Cuthbertson also says cash donations are welcomed and will go towards the purchase of treats for the kids.

Donations can be dropped of at 119 Princess Street West or call 474-5662 with any questions.
