Cory Marks has done a lot of things in his life.

North Bay's rising country star has been a drummer, hockey player, and most recently this fall, he was working on his pilot's license.

"I am studying another lifelong dream and that is becoming a pilot so I have been studying a long time to get my pilot's exam and then I commence flying in Sudbury on October 14," the multi-talented Marks told BayToday in the fall.

Marks, who took private flight lessons prior to attending RMC in Kingston, even had an amazing opportunity in 2017 that he has never forgotten which he may be singing about in the new album he is working on right now.

You see, back in the summer of 2017, Marks actually got to fly with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds 431 Air Demonstration Squadron.

"When I could perform close to the @abbyairshow and catch a ride with the @cfsnowbirds to my next show," Marks stated via social media.

"Hard to believe I got to live out my childhood dream of flying with this team 4 years ago in August. I may have a song on my next record dedicated to this whole experience and the best 9 ship aerobatic team on the planet. Snowbirds, smoke now!"

Marks left for the United States in late January where he worked on a part in a horror film and started creating his next album.

"I’ve been writing lots during this COVID-19 lockdown and I’m really excited to be recording new music for the new record coming out hopefully later this year," said Marks in late January.
