Man charged in stabbing

A North Bay man has been charged following a stabbing Saturday on Cassells Street.

The North Bay Police Service says a man in his late twenties was stabbed in the 2000 block area of Cassells Street between 11:30 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. and received non-life threatening wounds.

Norman Devost, 45, of 2040 Cassells Street, has been charged with aggravated assault, forcible confinement and threatening. He's being held in custody awaiting a bail hearing Monday at 10 a.m.
