Major provincial funding for local Women's Services Organizations

More than $210,000 has been awarded to Nipissing First Nation and the Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound for a pair of their initiatives.

A pair of local women’s services organization got a big cash injection from the province today.  

More than $210,000 has been awarded to Nipissing First Nation and the Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound for a pair of their initiatives.  

Nipissing First Nation receives $187,181 for continuing to deliver Employment Training for Abused/At-risk Women program and $23,804 to the Business Centre Nipissing-Parry Sound to continue delivering the Micro-lending for Women in Ontario Program.   

“I offer my congratulations to these groups for their commitment to investing in women and building a successful, vital community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed and fully participate in the workforce,” said Fedeli in a release. 

The Ontario Women’s Directorate works with women’s organizations across the province to advance women’s equality, support their safety, and improve their economic security.
