The OPP is currently seeking individuals who are interested in performing operational and administrative support duties and assisting front-line officers at North East Region Detachments while at the same time, developing skills beneficial to pursuing a career as a police constable.

OPP Cadets actively contribute to the delivery of policing services to the people and communities of Ontario by answering basic inquiries, assisting officers with criminal and traffic investigations, public displays promoting safety, collecting data, and assisting with the security of property and evidence. Whether working directly with OPP personnel, members of the public, or other agencies, OPP Cadets gain significant experience and insight into the policing environment and have established themselves as respected and dedicated members of the Ontario Provincial Police.

Conditions of Appointment
• Canadian citizen or permanent resident legally entitled to work in Canada;
• Minimum 18 years of age;
• Ontario Grade 12 or equivalency;
• Class G drivers licence with no more than 6 demerit points and full driving privileges;
• No criminal record for which a pardon has not been received or absolute or conditional discharge that has not been sealed;
• Pass credit, background and investigative checks; and
• Medical clearance from qualified practitioner.

Salary: $32,436.00
