The annual Thanksgiving Food Drive involving local high schools was a success.

On night two of the Thanksgiving Food Drive, teams from Ecole Secondaire Algonquin and West Ferris Secondary School canvassed their neighbourhoods in support of the North Bay Food Bank.

Algonquin was able to collect 3,001 pounds of food, while West Ferris collected an astounding 10,143 pounds.

Together with St. Joseph-Scollard Hall’s 2,350 pounds from Tuesday night, a total of 15,494 pounds of food was collected as part of the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.

All of the participating schools would like to thank the public for their generosity.

If your home was missed, you are encouraged to bring your donations directly to the North Bay Food Bank, located at 1016 Fisher St.
