The Nipissing Lakers usually try to clean up on the court or on this ice, but this weekend the Lakers Men's Volleyball team, Women's Basketball Team and Women's Hockey Team literally cleaned up for a very good cause in North Bay.
With support from Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay the teams worked together to do a community cleanup near Belleview Park in North Bay.
New Nipissing University President Dr. Kevin Wamsley and members of the Nipissing University Alumni Advisory Board also took part in the cleanup.
"Despite the rain, our Lakers came out in full force! We are always appreciative of how amazing our students are," Nipissing University Student Union (NUSU) posted via social media.
The weekend cleanup comes on the heels of Clean, Green, Beautiful's city-wide cleanup which took place from September 13 to 25 in North Bay.
