The North Bay - Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) have reopened The Kate Pace Way Trail from Decaire Road to Cranberry Road. The closure was due to construction by the Municipality of Callander to improve their sanitary sewer system. The trail is closed at the end of Cranberry Road and those using the trail are to use Decaire road to get to Callander  or can travel to Cranberry Road and return via the same trail.

The Kate Pace Way is a twelve kilometer pathway that runs along North Bay’s waterfront and stretches from downtown North Bay to Callander.

The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) was founded in 1972 by the Province of Ontario and the NBMCA’s 10 member municipalities. A non-profit organization, the NBMCA works closely with the public to ensure the environmental health of the region’s watershed. The NBMCA is one of 36 Conservation Authorities who are members of Conservation Ontario.
