A whirlwind past week continues for North Bay’s Ryan Hunter.

Tonight, the CFL’s top-ranked player was selected 9th overall by the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League Draft which took place Thursday night.

“Extremely thankful and honoured to have been selected by the Toronto Argonauts,” Hunter stated via Twitter.

“I could not be happier to go to such a great organization.”

Hunter, the six-foot-five, 318-pound Bowling Green offensive lineman, fell to the ninth spot due to his NFL aspirations.

Hunter, reached a free-agent agreement with the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday after being bypassed in the NFL draft.
