UPDATED: Now open Highway 63 closed again

Small vehicles will be permitted on Lee’s Road, Tower Drive, Smith Road and Northmount Road.

 Highway #63 is now closed between Silver Lady Lane and Penninsula Rd  due to the train derailment. The closure will be in place until further notice.

Traffic exiting North Bay by way of Trout Lake Rd will be stopped at Trout Lake and Lakeside to ensure:

1.       They live somewhere between Lakeside Dr and Silver Lady Lane or

2.       Light vehicle/light truck traffic proceeding  on or past Penninsula Rd will be directed up Lee’s Rd onto  detour through to Four Mile Lake Rd and Hwy 63. 

3.       Heavy vehicular traffic will be redirected back to Airport Rd to enter the detour.

There is a detour on Airport Rd to Carmichael Dr. to Four Mile Lake Road.  See the map of the detour.

Small vehicles will be permitted on Lee’s Road, Tower Drive, Smith Road and Northmount Road; however NO TRUCK TRAFFIC WILL BE PERMITTED ON LEE’S ROAD, TOWER DRIVE, SMITH ROAD AND NORTHMOUNT ROAD as a half load restriction remains in place during the spring season.

Drivers are reminded to drive with care through the detour as traffic volumes will be increased.
