Highway 101 Crash victims identified

The accident claimed the lives of all four people in the SUV. 

Police have identified the four people killed in a horrific crash yesterday on Highway 101.

OPP were called to a collision between a sport utility vehicle and a transport truck on Highway 101, approximately 70 kilometers west of Timmins at 10:25 a.m.

The accident claimed the lives of all four people in the SUV. 

They include Paulette MacLeod, 61, her daughter  Aynsley Macleod, 29, and her two sons Jamaal Macleod-Nagokee, 10, and Kruz Nakogee, 3, all from Chapleau. 

Aynsley Macleod was six months pregnant. A gofundme account has been set up. Over $18,000 has been raised in under 24 hours.

The driver of the truck, Wade Bass, 38, of Timmins, was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

The Highway was reopened at approximately 9:30 p.m. last night. 

The South Porcupine Detachment and the OPP Technical Collision Investigators are continuing their investigation to determine a cause of the collision.
