Habitat for Humanity North Bay & Blue Sky Region

Our Affiliate, Habitat for Humanity North Bay & Blue Sky Region is pleased to announce our acquisition of a building lot on First Avenue East in North Bay.

House design drawings for the chosen family are now in progress and permits will be applied for with the City of North Bay as soon as our design drawings are complete. We hope to have the City’s services installed to the property line October or November. Also, our plan this autumn is to clear the lot and dig some preliminary work for the foundation. We will be identifying the lot with our Affiliate’s sign and securing the work area, so watch for the work to begin this month.

Planning for a spring build, we expect to start construction very early in the spring and hope to have a move in date for our family to take title of their new home within two months of commencement - perhaps by the end of May.

Habitat for Humanity North Bay & Blue Sky Region has a five year plan to build at least two houses per year. The support of our community of North Bay and Blue Sky Region is essential to the success of this worthwhile venture.

Habitat for Humanity is not just about building homes to help people but also about building a community to work together to help each other.
