By 6:45am this morning folks were lined up the street at the Canadian Tire pumps on Algonquin Avenue at the HWY 11/17 Bypass this morning as the retail giant hosts their annual Canadian Tire Gas Sale Event.

From 7am till 7 pm today (Tuesday, July 13th) Canadian Tire Gas+ gas bar (1403 Algonquin Ave.) is offering customers a break at the pumps by taking five cents off per litre on all gasoline including diesel. There are no gas cans allowed for this sale, but on top of the gas sale customers will receive coupon booklets and an opportunity to sign up for a store credit card from Canadian Tire Financial Services where they will see the opportunity to save up to 10 cents off per litre on future gasoline purchases.

At 6:45am the Esso Station on Algonquin was selling their regular product for just over a 1.04 a litre but not to be outdone by 7:20am the retailer lowered their gas prices to 99.8 as well.

The PetroCanada station on Algonquin was not open when BayToday was on site.
