Francophone business get federal support

“I am very pleased with our government’s strategic investments in Northern Ontario Francophone businesses and communities ,” said Aspin. “With today’s support RDÉE will be better positioned to promote the region at the national and international levels, helping businesses reach new markets. Simultaneously, Francophone culture, a truly unique asset to our region, is proudly promoted which is a true win-win-win.”

The funding will support two projects being led by the Réseau de développement économique et d’employabilité de l’Ontario (RDÉE Ontario):

• $448,285 will help promote Northern Ontario to national and international markets, identify inter-municipal economic opportunities and foster collaboration through networking and business alliances.

• $315,317 will help RDÉE organize Naturallia 2015, a bilingual international business-to-business event focused on expanding markets focusing on the natural resources sector.

RDÉE Ontario is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting economic development and employability in order to ensure the vitality and sustainability of Ontario’s francophone communities.
