The North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation is getting support from a well-known new charitable organization.

"We are overjoyed to be introducing the NoahStrong Accommodations Program at North Bay Regional Health Centre," the Foundation stated via social media on Tuesday.

"We are humbled by the generosity of #NoahStrong."

The program, launching January 1, will be assisting with the short-term accommodation needs of direct caregivers whose loved ones are unexpectedly hospitalized at North Bay Regional Health Centre.

"This initiative will offer comfort and solace when it matters most, easing the burden on caregivers and reinforcing that they are not alone in their journey," the Foundation continued.

The NoahStrong organization emerged from the impact of Noah Dugas who humbly united and inspired communities through exemplary values of kindness, compassion, determination and bravery. Noah Dugas, a young hockey player, passed away from a stroke in the fall of 2020.

Noah's family would know the significance of short-term accommodation needs when Noah was in hospital in the GTA in the summer and fall of 2020.

"We extended our appreciation to NoahStrong for their boundless generosity and to our hospitality partners for their invaluable support," the Foundation continued.

The Foundation is grateful for the program's partnerships with Best Western North Bay, Fairfield by Marriott North Bay, Hampton by Hilton North Bay, and Homewood Suites by Hilton North Bay.

"We appreciate their collaborative efforts in ensuring widespread support by helping ensure the most efficient use of these limited resources," the Foundation said.
