On Saturday, November 4, 2006 police responded to an alleged robbery that took place in the 500 block McKeown area. The occupant of the residence indicated that two persons known to him attended his residence to collect outstanding monies owed.

While inside the residence the victim was punched and kicked about the face area. The victim was also struck in the head with a kitchen table. The victim was forced into a bedroom closet where he remained until his assailants left with a computer and other various household items. The victim sustained cuts and abrasions.

24year old Jason Smithers of Toronto and 23-year-old North Bay woman both will appear in court this morning charged with forcible entry, extortion, robbery and forcible confinement. Tarhabi - Boucher faces an additional charge of breach of undertaking.
