UPDATE: ENDED Fog advisory, thunderstorm risk

A fog advisory has been issued for:

  • North Bay - West Nipissing, 
  • Huntsville - Baysville

Persistent fog with visibility near zero is expected or occurring.

Dense fog is occurring in these areas and while it may improve at times, it is generally expected to persist into mid-morning.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.

If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.

Periods of rain and fog will end this afternoon, and then turn cloudy with 40 percent chance of flurries. Risk of a thunderstorm early this morning.

Temperatures falling to zero this afternoon.

There is now a risk of freezing rain late tomorrow afternoon. Snow and ice pellet amounts could reach 5 to 10 cm.
