Not a good week for families as OPP Nipissing West investigated five domestic-related incidents.
On June 9, at 6:30 p.m., police responded to a complaint of an assault in St-Charles. As a result of the investigation a 47-year-old woman from St Charles was charged with:
- Assault - spousal
- Assault with a weapon - spousal
Just an hour earlier they responded to a complaint of mischief in West Nipissing. As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old man from West Nipissing was charged with Mischief - Under $5,000.
The next day at 2:45 p.m., there was a complaint of a historical assault in St Charles. A 23-year-old man from St Charles was charged with Assault - Spousal.
On June 11, at 10:30 a.m., police investigated a harassment complaint in West Nipissing and a 65-year-old man from West Nipissing was charged with:
- Criminal harassment - repeatedly communicate. and
- Two counts of failing to comply with a probation order
That evening there was a complaint of an argument in West Nipissing, and a 39-year-old man from West Nipissing was charged with Mischief - Destroys or Damages Property.
