Fire on Ryan St. contained to basement

Reports indicate that North Bay Firefighters were called out to a house fire on Ryan Avenue Monday morning just after 6:30am arriving on scene to smoke visible.

No one was at the residence at the time of the fire, and reports indicate that thanks to the quick efforts of the firefighters the fire was contained to the basement area of the home.

Fire Prevention officers are now on scene investigating the cause.

There's no estimate on damages at this time.
