North Bay Airport’s 10,000 feet runway and taxiway system to be paved

North Bay Jack Garland Airport Corporation is pleased to announce that it has secured funding from the Federal Government (G8 Fund and Transport Canada) to rehabilitate its 10,000 foot runway and its associated taxiway system.

The funding announcement recognizes the importance of North Bay Jack Garland Airport servicing the North Bay and area and its significant contribution to the economic growth and development of Northeastern region of Ontario. The investment of approximately $10,000,000 in this critical transportation infrastructure system will strengthen the safety components of the airport while enhancing the means for continued growth of the aerospace industry in North Bay and supporting continued economic development in the Nipissing and Near North region of Ontario.

The announcement today marks another significant milestone for the North Bay Jack Garland Airport Corporation. The Corporation’s mandate is to operate the airport in a safe, secure and efficient manner while promoting and developing the airport services to ensure the commercial viability of the airport in support of the overall economic development of the North Bay area.
