Driver charged with possession

Last Thursday evening, the North Bay OPP checked a driver for a traffic violation and discovered a quantity of a controlled substance within the vehicle.

At approximately 9:50 p.m., a North Bay OPP officer checked a black Pontiac Grand Am on Highway 17, Beaucage Township, east of North Bay for a traffic violation.

During the stop, the officer found a quantity of marihuana (Hashish) and a large amount of cash in the vehicle. These items were seized and the driver (lone occupant) of the vehicle was charged.

29 year old Ryan McIvenna of Val Therese, Ontario is charged with 2 counts of Possession of Marihuana. He appears in North Bay Court on Tuesday April 10th, 2007.
