On Wed. the 12th of Aug. at approximately 5:20 PM officers of the North Bay Police Service spotted a man at the Cove on Trout Lake.

Information was that this man was to be under house arrest. This man then left the area and when in front of the water plant officers tried to arrest him.
It is alleged that this man then jumped into Trout Lake and began swimming away.

Officers commandeered a boat and one of the officers attended a nearby hone to obtain a water craft.
The man realized that it was futile to continue when approached and returned to shore. He was then arrested.

Sean VANDETTE 39 years old of Second Av. is charged with Breach of Recognizance, Resists Arrest and Escape Custody.
Our Service would like to thank the citizen who assisted the officers in this arrest.
