A 24-year old North Bay man faces charges after police witnessed a marijuana drug deal downtown Saturday evening.
Just before midnight Saturday, a North Bay Police patrol officer saw what appeared to be street crime activity on Main Street East.
Following an investigation and a subsequent search, David MacDonald was arrested and charged with one count of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking; one count of unauthorized possession of a weapon; and one count of possession of a weapon contrary to a probation order.
He was released on conditions, and is to appear in court for a first appearance on October 14th.
As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police also seized approximately 8.2 grams of suspected marijuana and a knife.
