Polce are looking for help after a woman was verbally assaulted yesterday.

According to police, at approximately 5:17 p.m. yesterday they received a report that a woman who stopped her grey Dodge Caravan at a red light on O’Brien Street, eastbound at Highway 17, was approached by a male pedestrian known to her.

The man approached her vehicle on foot and proceeded to yell at her through her closed window.

When the light turned green, the woman drove to O’Brien and Dudley, parked and left her vehicle.

The man approached her again and continued the verbal abuse but left on foot shortly thereafter.

As a result of the incident, police arrested and charged a 32-year old North Bay man with two counts of breach of probation.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing today. 

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in this investigation.

Drivers or pedestrians who witnessed this incident are asked to contact Constable Chabbert by telephone at 705-472-1234 or to come to the station in person at 135 Princess Street West to provide a statement.
