DIA launches Gateway Banner Festival

Downtown North Bay (The Downtown Improvement Area) is proud to announce a joint effort between the DIA Beautification Committee and the DIA Promotions Committee. These committees are launching the GATEWAY BANNER FESTIVAL - a new event that will combine North Bay's cultural heritage and strong artistic community with our beautiful downtown.

Everyone 12 years of age and over is invited to enter a banner design for the festival. The chosen designs will be painted by the designers themselves, and will hang in North Bay's downtown city streets from May to October 2011. The banners will be sold at a silent auction at the end of the festival.

Application forms and design templates are available from various businesses in the downtown core, and completed forms can be dropped off at three locations: The DIA Office 133 Main Street West, The F.A.R.M. 154 Main Street West and Cheapskates 274 Main Street East.
