She says she is convinced that the new school in Sturgeon Falls will provide pupils with the support required for success in school and in life. In his address, Ronald Demers underlined the significance of the project for its pupils and also for the vitality of the community. "This new school is the result of many years of preparation and I want to congratulate the administrative staff for the successful outcome of their work," he added.

"Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord is pleased to offer to its pupils an environment conducive to learning which will complement the excellent work of its staff," stated Cynthia Roveda, Director of Education for the Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord board.

The new school boasts classrooms equipped with all that is necessary to meet the needs of its youngest pupils, therapy rooms, a multi-function room and a loading zone that is designed to ensure a high level of safety for student travelling by bus. It will open its doors in August 2010.
