Clubs Richelieu collecting baby products

The Clubs Richelieu of the Mid-North are collaborating with local agencies to help young mothers and their babies, by organizing a "playpen/crib campaign" for the purpose of collecting baby products.

Playpens and cribs will be installed in different businesses in North Bay, the Greater Sudbury area, in Blind River and in the municipality of French River, from Friday, April 15 to Saturday, May 7, to collect the products.

The agencies receving the donated items are  the Ontario Early Years Centre of Nipissing in North Bay,  Better Beginnings, Better Futures, namely the Baby’s Breath program, in Sudbury, Sudbury-Est Community Health Centre and the Alban Nurse Practitioner-led Clinic in French River. In Blind River, the products will be distributed in the community as the need is identified.

The clubs Richelieu taking part in this first campaign centered around Mother’s Day are : the Club Richelieu North Bay, the Club Richelieu Sudbury, the Club Richelieu Féminin de Sudbury, the Club Richelieu de la Vallée, the Club Richelieu Blind River,  and the Club Richelieu Rivière-des-Français, representing more than 180 Richelieu members.

Founded in 1944, Richelieu International is a mixed non-for-profit organization that has the mission to promote la francophonie at the international, national and local level. It is also a society at the service of la francophonie and youth, with actions of a social, educational, cultural, economical and non-partisan political nature. By this mission, Richelieu International contributes to the development of individuals and communities.
