City man charged for child porn

On the 26th of June Det. Cst. Dan Robertson and Cst. Chris Marshall of the North Bay Police responded to a call to assist investigators of Project P.

The information given to the officers led them to attend a residence within the city.

A computer was seized and a man was taken into custody.
Daniel TRUDEL 39 years old of Milani Rd. is charged with Possession of Child Pornography and remains in custody for a bail hearing.

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Child Sexual Exploitation Section (Project "P") and the Ontario Provincial Police Electronic Crimes Section in conjunction with the North Bay Police Service have charged a 39 year old North Bay man following a Child Pornography investigation.

On Thursday, 26th of June 2008, as a result of an investigation by both the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Section (Project "P") and the Belgium Police Service, police searched a North Bay residence. Officers seized two computer systems that are believed to contain images of Child sexual abuse (Child Pornography).

On the 26th of June 2008, police arrested and charged Daniel TRUDEL with one count of Possession of Child Pornography. The accused is scheduled for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay, Ontario on the 27th of June 2008.

The investigation is continuing.
