Chief Fire Prevention Officer Randy Vezina confirmed today that the fire ban for the city has been lifted.
The ban was put in place May 10th because of almost non-existent moisture content in the bush
The Ministry of Natural Resources fire office confirms that they have also lifted their Restricted Fire Zone across Northeastern Ontario heading into the long weekend.
